Abstract
Background: Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has advocated certain dietary modifications based on Ayurveda principles as immune boosters during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper aims to measure these changes in participants' satisfaction with food life (SWFL) and mental well-being.
Method: The recommended diet was specially prepared in the kitchen of the institution for serving the COVID-19 study participants. Their mental well-being and food satisfaction were measured using validated scales, namely Satisfaction With Food-related Life(SWFL) and Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scales(WEMWS).
Result: The modified diet was served to 68 study participants admitted from 02 May 2020 to 10 June 2020. Statistically significant positive results were noted in respect of SWFL, WEMWS parameters.
Conclusion: These dietary modifications were found acceptable and showed a positive impact on satisfaction with food-related life and mental well-being on COVID-19 study participants; further comparative studies are desirable to ascertain its effectiveness.

Key words: COVID-19, Ayurvedic Diet, Food satisfaction, mental health.
