Abstract
Piper longum Linn. (Pippali) is a prominent herb in Ayurvedic medicine, widely used for digestive stimulation, rejuvenation, control of inflammation, metabolic regulation, and antimicrobial effects. This study integrates Ayurvedic pharmacological concepts with computational approaches to evaluate the drug-likeness, ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion) properties, and molecular targets of four key alkaloids—piperine, piperlongumine, pellitorine, and guineensine. Using SwissADME, SwissTargetPrediction, and PubChem databases, these compounds were analyzed for pharmacokinetic suitability and therapeutic potential. The findings demonstrate that these phytochemicals exhibit favourable drug-likeness, good gastrointestinal absorption, and multitarget actions, supporting their traditional uses and providing a foundation for future experimental validation.

Key words: Pippali, Piper longum linn., Computational profiling, Piperine, Network pharmacology, ADME profiling; Drug-likeness; Multi-target action
