Abstract
Background
Post Operative pain management is an important entity to ensure in patients after surgery for surgeons. It is a tiresome task to give a proper analgesic in an optimum dosage considering all the possible risks. In the field of Ayurveda surgery, it’s always a practise to depend up on modern analgesics to provide analgesia in post operative patients. With this thought the study was conducted on the plant Bhandira (Clerodendrum infortunatum Linn.) which is administered as a rectal suppository dosage form for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. The study is conducted in 30 samples that had undergone inguino scrotal surgeries.

Objective
To evaluate the analgesic effect of Bhandira Guda Varti (hydro-alcoholic extract of Clerodendrum infortunatum Linn leaf suppository) in the management of pain in post-operative Inguino scrotal surgeries.

Methodology
Ethical clearance from Parul Institutional Ethical Committee obtained. Suppositories prepared as a hydroalcoholic extract. 30 subjects who underwent Inguino-Scrotal surgery, which comes under the inclusion criteria were selected and intervention was done using Bhandira Guda Varti. All the data regarding the subjective and objective parameters is collected and analysed.

Observations & Results
Data collected shows that all the subjects felt considerable reduction in pain within 45 minutes after the intervention. Statistical analysis of the data also shows significant results in the effect of the suppository.

Conclusion
We can conclude that Bhandira guda varti can be used as an effective analgesic in post operative inguino scrotal surgeries.
