Abstract
A three-month pan India Information Technology (IT) training program for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy) professional is successfully completed at Centre for development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) innovation park, Pune, Maharashtra. The program began on 30th July 2018 and continued till 31st October 2018 (total 450 hours in 60 working days) in collaboration with Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and CDAC Pune. This training aimed for capacity building of AYUSH scholars regarding use of IT related tools in various activities of AYUSH. The training also focused on the current status of Ayurveda academics, research, and hospital related documentation methodology with an objective to improve it. The training was imparted by many renowned national level faculties. It was attended by 38 participants from various institutes and centres of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. Among the participants, there were teachers, researchers, medical officers and scholars from different institution and organizations across India. The training basically focused on use of computer, networking, software, information technology, health informatics, soft skills, team building and capacity building. This was taken up as a path breaking activity was highly relevant and much needed in AYUSH.
